Thomas Trotman has dedicated the majority of his personal and professional life to serving the youth and families of our community. As a proud Denver native and graduate of Montbello High School he attended college on academic/athletic scholarship finishing his degree at Metropolitan State University along with completing graduate studies in K-12 Youth Counseling. As a Founding Member of Colorado Truth and Colorado Connect basketball clubs he brings over 15 years of coaching experience at the club and high school level to the Chauncey Billups Elite Basketball Academy. Most recently Mr. Trotman was Head Coach of his 17U squad which was 28-10 overall summer 2016 winning 4 championships along the way and a final 4 appearance in the Baylor Basketball Chicago Summer JAM finishing the NCAA Certified tourney 5-1.
Mr. Trotman also has 20 years experience as a Juvenile Probation Officer and School to Career Specialist. After 15 years of working with youth as a Juvenile Probation Officer and School-to-Career Specialist. Professionally, Mr. Trotman now owns/operates TNT Construction Training, LLC working with many metro area employers, non-profits, and employment agencies assisting clients in gaining skills/certification which can lead to employment and self sufficiency.

Creating athletic and mentor opportunities for the youth of the Metro area became a passion for Trotman which led to volunteering for various youth organizations over the years. Trotman’s greatest pride is in the relationship he maintains with the over 20 young men he has assisted in earning athletic and/or academic scholarship to college. He believes we must maintain these vital relationships with our youth to not only get them “to” college, but “through” college!
